Comments (-1) The Brighton School Budget and Board Candidate Vote is June 9 Qualified residents of the Brighton Central School District will vote on the next year’s school budget along with other items on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 via absentee ballot, only, in accordance with Executive Order. Comments (-1) Board of Education Candidates for Three Seats There are six Board of Education candidates for three seats in the election on June 9. Comments (-1) Please Turn in Day Care or Opt Out Transportation Requests by May 31 In order to plan for the 2020-21 school year, we’re asking the parents of students in Grades K-8 to notify the Transportation Department of day care plans or if your child will not require transportation as soon as possible. Forms must be submitted by May 31. Other BHS students were also recognized in the program. Comments (-1) BHS Student Competes in State Poetry Competition BHS student Maya Finnigan competed in the New York State Poetry Out Loud Competition at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in March. Comments (-1) Brighton Named a Best Community for Music Education for 11th Year For the 11th straight year, Brighton Central School District was honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Comments (-1) BHS Students Start Brighton Teen Science Café Brighton High School students formed the Brighton Teen Science Café where they learn from local scientists. The cafés have been held over Zoom.
